What We Did
확장과 압축 프로젝트는 도시가 가진 이미지와 그 속에 속한 개인의 기억에 관한 이야기이다. 기억은 이미지의 선택점이며, 이미지는 공간을 채운 현실이다. 도시의 확대성은 더더욱 많은 획일적 이미지를 생산하며, 그 속에 따른 획일적인 기억에 선택을 가질 수 밖에 없다. 이 프로젝트는 도시 속 삶의 일부분을 영위하는 작가의 개인적인 이야기이며, 경험이자 진행중인 변화이다. 또한, 기억의 연결성에 관한 이야기이며, 존재의 이미지에 대한 이야기이다.
from work-note."Compression and Extension" is a story about images of the city and personal memory of individuals living in the city. Each memory is the choice of image and the image is reality that surrounds us in space. The expansion of the city creates more compressed density of monolithic images. The project is a personal narrative, experience and ongoing transition. This is a story of a connection between memory and image, and of ontological image.
